Good places to shoot photos

In anticipation of getting a camera to use again.........Dan's Camera has a bunch of message boards and here's one about good places in the Lehigh Valley to shoot pictures
http://www.danscamera.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=14
Anyone have any other suggestions to add?

I've taken loads of pictures at Cedar Crest pond/thing. I guess it's the kind of place you gradually take pictures of throughout the seasons and times of day, instead of having a whole bunch of opportunities for pictures right in one spot and time.
Where else...you know West Park is always great. Because it's so small, it forces you to be creative with what you're snapping.
Down by Union Terrace is LOADED with stuff. It might be a bit of a walk, but there's an abandoned cement factory there, and if you fully explore the place, there's lots of nooks and crannies. I guess the pond next to UT is cute too. And that area of town has a lot more natural life, and the houses are bigger and prettier, so you could pretty much just walk along the streets and snap anything.
Then the 19th st Civic Theatre has that 20's architecture on it. The PPL was rebuilt with it too. I mean, I could go on and on. It's everywhere in allentown, shockingly enough. You just have to keep an eye out.

Ok, I decided against myself and list even more places. Head down to Merchant's Square sometime, and talk a walk alongside the train tracks. I think there's stuff there, or maybe just wait for a train to come along.
Or walk down 14th St, until you get to the big hill, and there's some great opportunities there. The leaves on the tree, when you lay on the ground, look really cool silhouetted against the sky.
Other than that, the easy solution is to wait for times of day like sunset, or right before a storm when the lighting is very dramatic, and head out. I think you've got a good enough camera for that. Mine sure isn't.
