2 questions for everyone

1. Any suggestion for Rabbit names? (We now own 2!!)
2. Any suggestions for 1 day, inexpensive family trips? (for a mini vacation, since it is increasingly clear that that is the only type we might be able to have).

Suggestions for 1 day trips:

1) Philadelphia zoo
2) Phila--it's historic and interesting--however Tom better be there with you
3) Somewhere on the beach (Atlantic City, etc)
Visit Lancaster (Amish Country)
or for that matter--get some info about pa and places you could visit....look online. Have you heard the advertisement for pa?

i've been giving this some thought...the trexler game preserve (l V zoo) has a lot of land...if you go there you can park your car next to this creek and they have picnic tables and a grill and a nature trail and the occasional passing horse and buggy...you can have a cookout and the kids can play in the water...you don't have to go in the park at all and that means not having to PAY for the park...so essentially, you only have to pay for food (which you'd buy anyways) and the gas to get there...BUT if you do decide to go into the park, it is SUPER cheap and it is great! i've gone 3 times, either alone or with one other person...they have pony rides for like $2.50...check it out, just google Lehigh Valley Zoo to get hours, prices, etc...heh, it sounds like an endorsement LOL

also, there's that Dutch Springs water park thing that you always see on TV...i don't know the prices but you can get coupons in the paper (the US and KEY free papers in Nazareth)...not sure if it is age oriented for the younger ones, but worth checking out...also, i've been looking at the Crystal Cave website and that looks cool, besides the cave there's a minigolf and a horse drawn carrage ride that is included in the price...kinda neat plus it's always like 56 degrees in the cave LOL

Knoebel's is a great amusement park when you have small kids, cuz you don't have to pay to get in the park. You can buy tickets or an all day pass for the kids, but you can walk around the park and not have to pay anything for yourselves. If there is a particular ride you want to go on, you can buy tickets for just that ride. There are picnic tables there, so you could take your own lunch.

What about Beltzville State Park or Mauch Chunk Lake? They are both near Lehighton, and are free, to the best of my knowledge. Again, there are picnic tables there for your picnic lunch.

How about "Thumper??"
