Hawking cookies at the Farmer's Market

It started out with just Leanna and one other girl, very quietly asking the few passers-by if they would like some cookies. Then two (much louder) girls came and suddenly there were loud choruses of, "Would you like to buy girl scout cookies!!?? They're delicious! This one is new! Please!" They pounced on anyone walking by, no matter that they'd been walking back and forth several times and worked in a nearby shop! LOL. Luckily they were very cute. Jenn, one of the assistant leaders (also Leanna's leader from her troop last year) had to tell them, "This is Leanna's father, you already asked him. Please don't ask him if he walks by again!"
It was a bad time slot though, there really weren't many people out. They sold 18 boxes. It was fun to watch Leanna come out of her shell though, dancing in front of the table holding cookies boxes up!
(We were asked last minute if we wanted to go out tonight. Tom couldn't make it in time to take her, so the boys and I walked her to the Farmer's Market and waited there til Tom met us. We stayed since it would have been silly to go home and come right back).
(These are cell phone pictures, that's why the quality's not so great)

I miss Girl Scout cookies! I happened to be at the local grocery store nearby a few weeks ago and there was a troop there selling them. I picked up two boxes...although they were out of the peanut butter patties, which is what Kurt would have wanted. My favorite ones are the shortbreads with chocolate on the one side. I enjoy the caramel delites, as well. They sure have gotten expensive, though!

Even though the pictures were taken with a cellphone they aren't bad.

Yes, I agree with them going up in price. I can remember paying $1.50 per box many years ago, when I first started buying them. But they sure are good!
