Dorney Park

Despite the less than ideal weather yesterday, we did have a fun family outing at Dorney Park yesterday. It was Girl Scout day there, so the park was open only to girl scouts and their families. Leanna's troop paid for her ticket and one adult ticket, so we only had to buy two (Two and under are free Jacob and Timothy didn't need tickets.) They had a free picnic lunch there from 12-5-hotdogs, gross hamburgers, chips, macaroni salad, soda and cookies. I'll just say that the food was free and that was it's only good quality. There were a lot of people there, and we saw several out of state licence plates. It was just drizzling when we got there, but until about 2:30 or so it was really nasty out. All the rides were on though, and we weren't the only ones to stick it out throughout the storm.

I hadn't been to Dorney in about 9 years-wow. A lot has changed. We didn't get to see the whole park though. And I was really dissapointed, I wanted to go on Thunderhawk with Leanna, but she's about 2 inches too short for it. Leanna and Justin really had a lot of fun, they were pretty brave. Timothy was terrified, even of the Merry-go-Round with me HOLDING HIM! LOL. He only went on one other ride, with Tom, and that was because Tom made him. Apart from the rain and wind, it was a really nice family day.

That is so nice, you really do need days like that once in a awhile. Days that the whole family can be together and enjoy each other & the rides. From all the pictures it looks like you all really did have a great day.
