Something accomplished!

I finally made the curtains for our back porch room's big windows! They match the ones in the bathroom. If I'm lucky Tom will put them up tomorrow! I just have to do the back-door yet, and then people won't be able to see in at night! Well, daytime too. Maybe someone will bring a camera tomorrow and I can post a picture here.

Stephie, you need to teach me how to sew, I really want to learn how to make curtains for my windows, because I have been pricing some at the stores and they are expensive. I want a sheer curtain for my front window about 56 inches long to go down to the air-conditioner between my drapes I have up to block out people looking in, but there isn't none out there that size. I don't want anything fancy, just a regular sheer will do. But you think they would have that length out there, NO! So I was thinking of put a 63 inch length up and pinning it up to meet the air-conditioner, but I don't know if it would look stupid.

I keep putting you off about sewing because I don't really think I'm good enough at it myself to be teaching someone else! I've only made those basic ones you see in our bathroom. Measure the length and width you'd like. Go to Jo-anns fabric store or even Walmart sells material. Pick out what you want. For the kind I made you just add 3inches to the top and 4 & 1/2 inches extra material to the bottom, and basically double the amount of material it takes to cover the window(so it gathers). Then I can help you with the rest.

Material can be pretty expensive too!
