Least favorite parts of being a parent

A blog post, it links to the comments, if the original post isn't there, just click on the homepage link. Katie's pregnant with her 4th child too.

I think my least favorite parts of parenting would have to be having no time for yourself (too busy taking care of everyone else): having your body become a jungle gym for little ones (sometimes I don't mind that but when it's constant it becomes tiresome!): being exhausted but having to get up anyway (to go make food, to go put someone back to sleep, etc.); the neverending supply of messes to clean; Not being able to go up or down steps without at least one child trailing me; guilt; endless worrying about food & nutrition; not being able to enjoy my own snacks/drinks unless they are healthy (then no one wants to share!); feeling judged; feeling judged by people who really aren't qualified to judge and feeling like I am doing it all alone.

Sometime when I have a quiet house I will post on all the perks (and despite what this post may make you think, there are many).

my least favorite parts:

---the feeling i get when i feed jonathan a new food

---whiny, dog-like "talking" when j is really crabby and tired

---getting mad when i see other kids eating anything and everything b/c it is not their fault j has a life threatening allergy

---mommy guilt

---having to hold j down (while he's screaming dada!!!!) to spray his nose or brush his teeth or rinse soap out of his hair and BEING THE ONLY PARENT THAT DOES IT (as in john doesnt ever do those things)

oh and that other parents or just people in general dont "get" jonathan's allergy and why i am so careful with him. that drives me insane!!
