Math in the US

Why the US is doing so poorly in math compared to other countries. I've seen this one demonstrated myself, in 1st grade my daughter was being taught beginning algebra concepts. I've recently looked through math textbooks and thought to myself how many different math topics were covered! Math is my weakest subject, so it'll be interesting to see how I do teaching that to Leanna!
