Afternoon Reading

We had an afternoon at the library and reading and doing school yesterday. Timothy kept asking if the car book could be HIS! I had to literally pry Leanna out of the book to get her to do her work!

It really looks like they are enjoying being homeschooled. This is really going to help Timothy and Jacob, when it is time for them to get graded in homeschooling.

I'm not doing a whole lot with the boys yet. I've read a lot about the pointlessness of early education. When you leave them alone until they're ready for "school" most of the time they pick it up in a few months because they're ready for it. Sometimes surpassing kids who began early or on time. It's really hard to not try to teach though, there's a lot of pressure to have "Little Einsteins" and start your babies reading etc. etc.
When they seem interested I'll go over alphabet stuff or do some of the many workbooks we've been given. I try not to make a big deal out of it. I still find that some of our best discussions (learning) come when we're walking somewhere. Leanna occasionally tries to homeschool her brothers. I mainly include them in the science stuff (we've been going over the five categories of vertebrae), reading, and art.
