Doh! Sick child #2

First I spent Friday night up with a sick Timothy who kept throwing up every few hours or so.  Saturday he only ate a small bowl of cheerios, then that came up an hour or two later.  Sunday he was still just lying about, but he did eat four (small) bowls of cereal at once.  Today he's completely normal.  Now late tonight Leanna began throwing up.  Of course I had a sink full of dishes when she had to run out to throw up!  Gross!  So now I'm wondering if it will slowly spread throughout the whole family.  Just what we need now.

I hate being sick!

We've been-and still are-sick here.
I crashed on Friday, after feeling only a slight ache in my throat most of the week. Leanna had been sick for just the morning last Sunday, fine by the afternoon, and Timothy got sick Sunday afternoon through Wednesday. Jacob is still sick, but not as bad as the worst two days. Though he did have a three hour period today where he cried non-stop today(Sunday). I was wondering if maybe he had an ear infection, but then I got him to sleep and after he woke up he was normal for being sick. (If that makes sense to you).
Friday afternoon I crashed big time. I felt like I wanted to die. Puking at one in the morning and everything!! Saturday afternoon I started to feel a bit better. I went to bed early (for me) and woke up with only a runny nose. Everything else was gone. Halleluja! Timothy's started throwing up occasionally again, but is otherwise normal. Justin, Leanna, and Timothy all have a cough though. But Justin and Leanna don't show any signs of sickness other than the cough. Is that confusing enough for you?

Thanks to my Mom and sister who came over for an hour or two (not sure, my head was fuzzy) on Friday and let me go lay down upstairs with my sickest baby, Jacob.

I cannot wait to be done with all the sickness and the extra cleaning (washing and rewashing sheets and clothes with throw-up, sheets and blankets, washclothes, getting rid of piles of tissues, etc.) and all the mess that built up while I've been sick and taking care of the sick!

sick house

Haven't been blogging as usual because we're sick here. It started out with just me about a week ago, then it seemed I was getting better. Yesterday Leanna got feverish and just slept from when she came home from school throughout the night. No food, only sips of water. She's occasionally throwing up mucus. She just looks miserable. And I started to caugh again yesterday, just when I thought I was over it. My stomach muscles hurt from caughing so much. Sometime during the night I discovered Timothy was feverish also. So I've spent the day holding Timothy and making trips to the bathroom with Leanna. Timothy will only drink water and nurse. He just lies there. Justin's still his normal self, we'll see how he is tomorrow. He's had a rough day though also because his Mom and brother and sister just want to sleep and lay around. So he was a little stir crazy and was getting in trouble because of it.

laundry & sickness

You know, a family of five makes an awful lot of laundry on a normal week. But man, add in two sick children and boy does it multiply! Leanna was sick for about half a day on Saturday. She woke me up saying she had to throw up. So we spent the morning camped out in the hallway or in the bathroom. She likes to wipe her mouth afterward with a washcloth-new one each time because the old ones have throw up germs on them. She's very into germs this past year. By late afternoon she was fine again though.
Then yesterday morning I woke up and realized Timothy had wetness underneath him and his diaper wasn't wet. Sure enough-he was throwing up. Only for him it lasted all day long, and then twice today. I went through 5 or 6 changes of clothes because he kept throwing up on me. Plus his clothes, a few blankets, and a few jackets (I was cold) that all got baptised. A few times he seemed like his old self and I thought he was over it, but it just kept coming back. Poor kid, he's so serious when he's sick. Thank god Justin's showing no signs of it, and neither am I.
