I find this absolutely moronic: "Freund argued that case law supports his contention that the school, though a public entity, is not required to protect its children."
I mean come on!! The school can't forsee everything that happens, but once it does, you deal with it! Maybe they couldn't have prevented the first attack, but the other three ........? As far as I'm concerned, children's safety should be the school's responsibility once they step on the bus or (if walking) enter the building. Things like this really make me wish homeschooling was an option for us!

Why can't you home school Steph? You have a degree. Actually I do understand that it would be hard to do, and you need some relief. It is horrendous that this was allowed to happen in any school. Are those who were in places of responsibility parents? How could they not see how damaging that is to a child and to hide all incidences is to quote you "appalling"
