The biggest hit of all his presents was the wooden Melissa and Doug birthday cake! Although he had many nice presents! It was a quiet sleepy party, but I don't think Jacob minded.

I have such adorable, creative,& stubborn children....share the frustration, the cuteness, the highly imaginative ramblings and the gritty reality of our day to day life, well...not all of it. I am,afterall, hoping to retain people's good opinion. : ) PS. Warning! If grammar and spelling errors bother you.....I expect most of this to be stream of conscience type writing-and my spelling could be described as creative, or occasionally hopeful.

I really don't think Jacob minded the small intimate party, because you tell him he is a very special little person to get all this attention by his favorite people. Mine and my brother birthday parties were only a small gathering too and it just makes you feel so special, because you don't have to share yourself with a lot of people.
He'll have plenty of time to have those BIG parties, when he gets older.
We've never done a BIG party. The closest we've got is having a couple extra friends over.
