Evening's work

All from last night: Glowstick earrings, fashioned by Leanna (a gift from the halloween party), my first ever attempt at Brownies completely from scratch (so they're Jacob safe!), and more zucchini bread!

Yummy Bread!

Zucchini Bread-we loved it! This is the best recipe I've ever made for Zucchini Bread! As Justin said, "It's freakin' good!" I have no idea where he got that one from, unless maybe his Aunt Claire? Justin had three helpings and asked for more! (I had to cut him off. As it was we finished one entire loaf tonight). The end pieces were the best, as Justin put it, "the crust tastes better than sugar cookies!"

Note the two kinds of butter in the picture. The Land O' Lakes Natural Whipped butter is the only one I've found that doesn't contain soy oil. I've been calling it "Jacob butter."

Zucchini Bread

In an attempt to eat (somewhat) healthy, I tried making some Zucchini Bread tonight. It smelled great baking, and Jacob liked the batter. Tom even sniffed around and asked what I was making (but he won't touch anything like that). I can't say it's as good as Apple Bread, but it's not bad. I only had a little piece but I'll try it again tomorrow after it's cool and when I'm hungry. Testing it when you're already full isn't the way to go!

PS. Zucchini is very juicy! Who knew?
